$18 for one block, $32.40 for two, $48.60 for all day
School's Out Workshops are held only on days when teachers from Columbia Public Schools are having teacher collaboration days. Regular vacation days are not included. However, many times we do have special things going on those days, too. Just check our website! These Workshop days do fill up quickly and do require preregistration.
All Workshops require that are at least in 1st Grade.
The activities we do, and many times the materials we use, require that our attendees have a certain amount of experience in a formal learning environment. Good listening skills, developed hand-eye coordination, patience, and attention span are all essential, and we ask for your understanding and wait to sign your children up until they have begun 1st grade.
3 Blocks available, each with a different theme, activity, or artistic medium. Come to one, two, or all three! Drop off as early as 9:00am, pick up by 5:00pm. Staying for more than one? Bring lunch or snack to refuel your creative energy!

Our LAST School's Out Workshop Date! Friday, February 24th It's Full!
Session 1
9:30-11:30
-Mobiles-
-Under Construction-
We'll be studying Alexander Calder and his magnificent mobiles, then creating one of his own!
(A small one, not one of his 24'x72' ones.)
Session 2
12:00 to 2:00
It's all about Texture
We will be creating a canvas painting; but we're not leaving it at that! We're going to explore adding different materials to our painting: tissue paper, magazine pictures, yarn, fabric... feathers? Who knows!
Session 3
2:30 to 4:30
Can you Kandinsky?
This session is a contrast study between Wassily Kandinsky's more geometric art and his organic art styles. We'll look at lots of examples, see if we can find hidden stories, and see if we can create our own Kandinsky!
